Young Members | What's up in Contemporary Art?

10.30am–12pm

event Details

Which exciting new talents are emerging in the contemporary art scene in Aotearoa? What artworks are making our hearts beat faster? Our exhibition Aotearoa Contemporary features an intriguing new generation of artists exploring painting, textile, sculpture, ceramics, photography and performance art. At this Young Members event, the exhibition curators will give a crash course on ‘What’s up in contemporary art right now’.

Starting in the Members Lounge with coffee and pastries, Senior Curator Global Contemporary Art, Natasha Conland and Curator Pacific Art, Cameron Ah Loo-Matamua will introduce us to key artists and themes before we explore the exhibition together.

This event is part of our Young Members event programme, for the bold and curious under 40s (and young at heart). Drinks supplied by our partner, Almighty.

Doors open and coffee served from 10.30am. The talk starts around 10.50am.
