event Details
In Tocopilla, a small town in Chile located between the sea and the desert, the son of an uprooted couple, formed a rigorous communist father and a loving but weak mother, tries to pave his own path in a society that does not understand their Jewish-Ukrainian origins.
Based on Jorodowsky’s life, the film blends his personal history with metaphor, mythology and poetry and reflects his philosophy that reality is not objective but rather a 'dance' created by our own imaginations.
Directed by Alejandro Jorodowsky, Chile, 2013. Runtime 133mins, R13.
