Index to Canterbury Gothic Revivalist Buildings

This is a card index to 34 Gothic Revivalist public buildings in Canterbury, New Zealand. Rodney Wilson, ex-Director (1981-88) of Auckland Art Gallery photographed these buildings in the mid 1970s and prepared index cards (often several for each building) with small black and white photographs and the following information: architect name (where known) and life dates; location; condition of building; date of photograph; design, commencement and completion dates and use of building; and where referenced in the literature. The buildings were begun as early as the 1850s and include some no longer in existence following the Christchurch earthquake of 2011. Box 2 contains the negatives to the photographs.
