Artspace Aotearoa is a non-profit contemporary art gallery located on Karangahape Road in Tāmaki Makaurau, Auckland. Established in 1987 by a group of artists and arts professionals, it stands as New Zealand's largest and longest-running contemporary art venue. Alongside hosting exhibitions, Artspace also tours its shows and collaborates with other institutions to feature both New Zealand and international contemporary artists.

This archive contains analog materials documenting Artspace Aotearoa's exhibition and program history from its inception through 2012. The collection includes media files with press releases, press clippings, catalogues, ephemera, transparencies, and photographs, as well as audio-visual materials spanning from 1986 to 2005. Additionally, it features 35mm slides, CDs, and DVDs showcasing installation views from 1986 to 2005, along with 15 folders or boxes of documentation and unclaimed competition entries related to the National Drawing Award in 2004 and 2006.
