Archive Collection Detail
One of New Zealand's most successful expatriate painters, Frances Hodgkins settled in the United Kingdom from the early 1900s. Her works, which often married still lifes with landscapes became more abstract over time. This is one of only five typed transcripts of Frances Hodgkin's letters in New Zealand. They are numbered and include the original errors (flagged as such) and are dated 1875 to 1946 (one large box). They were transcribed by Dr Eric Hall McCormick.
